6:00 AM. Alarm goes off. Time to get ready. We're going to Disney!

Planning a Magical Day

As we have done every time we've been down here we spend some time building our plan for tomorrow. We'll use a couple of different iPad and Android apps to help us get the most of our day. Sandy's done a great job putting this all together. As you can see from the post, we have our day schedule planned. We're planning to get on the road about 6:30 a.m. to get to the Rope Drop at the park. We do have a break planned for about mid-way through the day to come back and take naps. We figured that getting out of the hot sun helps regenerate and revive us for the rest of our day. Just wanted to show you all the amount of pre-planning that goes into a great day. Now time to get some rest before the alarm.  Have a good night.

Disney Springs

We took a drive down to visit Disney Springs tonight. As usual the place was pretty packed. We had a chance to walk around and see some of the sites. We also had the opportunity to hear a song titled, "What does the fox say?" by the original artist. Our final stop was the Lego store. Last time we were here Caleb had the opportunity to race a few of his cousins by building a Lego car. We wanted to do that experience again. While the kids all raced cars, Mike walked over to the Ghirardelli Chocolate shop and bought a giant ice cream for everyone to share. The desert is called the Earthquake and contains 8 scoops of ice cream, fresh bananas, and 8 delicious toppings. As he carried it through the crowd back to the Lego store people stated ooh's and aah's about the size of the dessert. There was a great feast. After purchasing tickets for tomorrow's day at Magic Kingdom, the family came home to get a good night's sleep. We're looking forward to a good day tomorrow.

We Made It

Spring Break 2014 is in the books.  Thanks to everyone who prayed for safe travels.  Thanks to Aunt Sara and Julia for coming along.  The trip was more fun with you here. Thanks to our van for putting on the 2975 miles of driving.

Almost Home!

What a fantastic vacation! It is great to get away for a while, but nice to come home too.  Almost there.

Uneventful Ride Home

Our ride has been fairly uneventful.  Sara has done the lion's share of driving so far.  We did wash some stinky feet.  Caleb was chanting, "Throw Jaden out the window! Throw Jaden out the window! Her feet stink! Her feet stink!"

Staking a Claim

Birthday boy is staking out some turf for tonight's fireworks. Hoping the kids and mom's will be able to bring him treats from around the world as he sits here and guards the fence.
