Zip & Dip Excursion - Up the Mountain

After riding the bus, we arrived at our destination.  This place is commonly called the 27 waterfalls (its actually only 7) and we were going to zipline 5 times and cross two suspension bridges as we made our way to the head of the falls, but first we had to get life vests, helmets, and jam all of our gear into ONE locker... It was a challenge, but we got it all sealed up.   The walk was supposed to be about 45 minutes and at least one (maybe two) people had to turn back because it was too strenuous.
Many trees were labeled.
We finally reached the summit!  They gave us a few more instructions and then we had another short walk to the actual zipline

About to strap in to harnesses for the first zipline.
These two were so very BRAVE!

After this shot, I switched to the GoPro. There is some video as well and I'll link it here when I get home. (Unfortunately, I don't have many zipline photos as I was trying to keep from losing my phone in the jungle.)

Traveling Puerto Plata and Amber Cove

Zip & Dip. We got off the boat and went to Puerto Plata to get on a bus... but not before a quick stop at Del Sol for some color changing shirts.

I brought my drone all this way and never even got to fly it.  😞

After getting out 'free' stuff from a few of the shops, we caught up with our excursion group.

Sign off on liability waiver... standard for us.

Banana plantations along the way.

Next up, Zip & Dip fun!

Amber Cove and the Zip & Dip Excursion

As we prepare to go on our excursion, there are feelings of apprehension and excitement.   Here's to a good day!
