Fun Times in the Ocean - Palm Beach Shores Beach Front

The Beach...

What can I say, this is what got us hooked on Palm Beach Shores in the first place.  This is a great place to swim, has a lot of neat things to check out, and is very clean!  We really enjoyed just spending the morning playing around in the water a bit.  Later today, we'll be heading to Shark Wave Park to use our 'raincheck' from yesterday's storm, but first a little dip in the big deep ocean!

Snorkeling the Phil Foster Park Underwater Trail

The first day that Dad got back from TEC21, was a pretty easy moving and slow day.  Mom, Jaden & Caleb had done a few adventures in and around West Palm Beach while Dad was away and they were excited to share & tell what they did.  We had the opportunity to go snorkeling under the bridge at the Phil Foster Park snorkel trail (https://www.floridarambler.com/florida-snorkeling/phil-foster-park-snorkel-trail/)  This trail is best navigated during high or low tide, but we happened to be there in the midst of the transition.  The current was pretty strong, but we still were able to see a lot of fish and other features.  Caleb & Jaden were getting really good at snorkeling, too!  We closed out the day with a tasty meal from Applebees.

TEC21 Season 13 Facilitators Academy

Every year at about this time, Mike goes to Seward, NE for a technology conference and this year was not different... besides the fact that he would be flying from Green Bay to Miami to Palm Beach International to Omaha and then back again.  Expedia, don't let me down!

I snuck out and snapped a few early morning pictures before getting ready to head to the airport for my next flight.

Well, Expedia (and more realistically PBI) did let me down.  A day or two before my flight, I got a notice from America that they 'cancelled' my flight from PBI to Charolette... then the MORNING OF MY FLIGHT, I get another notification that my flight was again cancelled.  Oy, that was some bad timing.  With this new information, I quickly formed a plan to travel back to Miami and then to Omaha for the conference.

Luckily, it paid off.  I was able to fly from Miami (thank you Sandy for the 3 hour round trip driving you did from West Palm Beach to Miami and back) all the way to Omaha and got in about 8:00 PM on Monday, June 21.  The next few days were our usual awesome times spent learning and growing with the other facilitators.  At the end of the training, I was able to catch my flights back to Miami where my loving wife was waiting to pick me up.  Now, my vacation could officially start!

Back in Miami - let the vacation begin!
