Dinner pitstop at Portillos. Met up with Richie, Gabe, and Gloria. Gabe and Caleb got in a quick game of Pokemon / pixelmon while Jaden read about how the restaurant first started as a hotdog stand shaped like a dog house.

Quick Stop: Skarda Maple Farms
We have to stop to drop off our little buddy, Jack. He's going to be spending the week here at Skarda Maple Farms. Right now the boys are cleaning out the cooker. There's a little too much snow on the ground to make it worth collecting. They are anticipating a good run next week as the temperatures climb again. They do have over a hundred gallons of syrup already.

Florida, Here We Come!
Well, we are on the road. Getting going on our trip to Florida. Last night we got about 8 inches of snow and a snow day today. We even left a note and some sugary candy for the Easter Bunny to come find us. Baskets are packed and so is the Keurig. :)
Only about 20 hours until our arrival. Please pray for safe travels (we already saw 3 cars down in the ditches).
Next stop, Gurnee Mill's Portillos & a late lunch with Rich, Gabe, & Gloria.

While on the Westside
After dropping off his computer for some friends to use during Spring Break, Benjamin decided that we should stop at Cinnabon for a quick treat. Great idea!
Staycation Supper
Dinner with Benjamin Weber and the family at a local favorite, El Sarape. School has already been called off for tomorrow because of the snow that's coming. That's right we're getting 8 to 14 inches on March 24th. Welcome to Wisconsin. Planning to pack up and leave tomorrow afternoon. We are definitely ready for Florida weather!
