Wednesday June 23: Rapids Water Park

Left the hotel early to beat a possible rush at Rapids Water Park.  Caleb picked this one out back in January when he did a search for "waterparks with a Flowrider."  Arrived at 9:30 and did succeed by being the first in the bag check line.  Not as much of a rush as we thought there would be with a line of about 75 but we were going to get the first run at Flowrider, found over the bridge and the opposite end of the park.  This flowrider only let you come in from the bottom so not quite as fun but Mom decided to try it too.  May have failed the first time but was riding the second time.  First 30 minutes there were very few people on that side of the park so there was no waiting for rides.  When the lightning shut down the park at 12:00, we went home for a short break and lunch, came back at 2:00, and stayed until the park closed at 7:00.      Each of us also tried Black Thunder (dark toilet bowl tube ride).  A bit odd in the dark but a fun ride.  Other rides we tried & enjoyed:  Body Blaster and 4 Old Yeller slides with mats. Big Red toilet bowl was fun too but ended up just spitting out Mom and Caleb out at the end 😁.  Riptide Raftin was another one we enjoyed but it wasn't worth the work it took to carry a 4 person tube up the steps because the conveyer was broken.  Finished off the day at the two favorite rides of Raging Rapids or the"blue and green tube ride" and Caleb's favorite - Rapids Racer.  BEST DAY so far with no waiting on rides and there was a light, cooling Florida rain all day keeping the crowds down even more.  Great Day!

Now time for a little sleep before leaving at 11:30am to pick up Mike at the Miami Airport again!
